Commands

Max CLI provides these command groups:

• Images - Compress, resize, convert and strip images (max images)
• Audio - Audio metadata, compression and noise removal (max audio)
• Video - Video and audio tools built on FFmpeg (max video)
• Download - Download media from YouTube and other sites (max grab)
• PDF - Merge, split, compress, OCR and fill forms (max pdf)
• AI - Ask, chat, analyze images, search and extract data (max ai)
• Files - Rename, sort, deduplicate, back up and undo (max files)
• Queue - Run heavy jobs in the background (max queue)
• Tools - QR codes and clipboard helpers (max tools)
• Config - API keys and settings (max config)
• Dashboard - Interactive terminal dashboard (max, or max dashboard)
• Update and Doctor - Update Max, and check its setup (max update, max doctor)

Run max <group> --help to see every command in a group, and max <group> <command> --help for its options.

Many commands take several files, a folder or a pattern, and long ones take --queue. See Several files at once and Background jobs.
